What Is The Cause Of Your Work Stress?

How are Monday mornings for you? Do you leap out of bed, eager to start another new week, full of enthusiasm…did you say No?

Well, you are in good company. Most of us have the ‘Monday Morning Blues’. We drag ourselves out of bed and join the daily commuters who ‘zombie’ their way to work for another week of the 9 to 5 grind.

There is a better way.

You need to discover what you love, and you need to create a career out of it. Because when you do, you will release much of your workplace stress.

If you've been thinking about a career change, writing outstanding cover letters, to accompany your resume, can get you more quality job interviews than you might imagine.

Most of us have a yearning to create and contribute to society in a meaningful way. To be the expert that everyone looks up to and to help our fellow man so giving meaning and purpose to our lives. If you think you could happily spend the rest of your days lying on a beach, think again, because I suggest that you will get bored and want to do something more with your life.

Research shows that many people who retire from work and do nothing, die soon afterwards. They have no purpose. There is no meaning left in their lives. There is nothing left to live for.

You don’t want that to happen to you!

It could be that your desire is a build a home and raise happy, healthy children. Well that’s important work too. If it’s what you want to do, it’s important. You want to be exited about your work and career.

So, where has it gone wrong for you?

The first clue is to examine a typical week and take notice of where the pressure points are. What, or who, is causing your blood pressure to rise and your stress levels to increase? Identify your work stressors.

You then need to examine these stressors. Is it that you love your work and your boss, or customers, are overloading you? Or is there a much deeper resentment or dissatisfaction festering away inside?

You want to ask yourself some searching questions - what is your calling in life? What are your skills, strengths, talents and gifts? Are you using them to best of your ability?

If it’s a case of simple work overload, is there a better way to do this? Can I re-engineer the job. Can I mould it to how I think it should be and how it could work much better for me?

Discover how to become resilient and bounce back from pressure, stress and job burnout, with Michael Licenblat's strategies. (there are so many it fills two entire volumes!)

A new report has just been released - "A step-by-step guide to beating stress", which includes, what happens to your body, situations to avoid, 15 instant stress busters, 13 stress management strategies and creating a plan of action.
