Is Your Lifestyle Creating Stress And How Can You Turn
It Around?
Is this familiar to you? You arrive home exhausted.
You can’t relax whatever you try to do. You go to bed early only to toss
and turn all night long and wake up in the morning more exhausted than
when you went to bed the previous night.
Stress creates exhaustion by depleting your energy, which creates more
stress as you are unable to cope with tomorrow’s round of stressful
situations. This makes you even more exhausted. It’s a vicious spiral.
What can you do to break the spiral?
Boosting your energy breaks the cycle. And the most important place to
start is your lifestyle. In all honesty, can you say that your lifestyle
supports your stress reduction program or makes it worse? Excess alcohol,
smoking, drugs and a sedentary lifestyle will make things worse for you.
If you smoke, drink too much or take drugs, you
must kick the habit. Your stress will not improve much if you don’t. There
are many ways to beat bad habits. Hypnotherapy can work for many people.
Single-minded determination is needed to stop
most addictive habit. Easy to say but hard to do. There are ways to kick
addictions. Tools that use the power of your mind work well. Affirmware is
a powerful tool. It combines
visualization,
affirmations and subliminal messages and is very effective.
Meanwhile, as you battle with your addictions, there are many more
enjoyable ways to reduce your stress levels. Muscle relaxation techniques
are simple, easy and very effective, requiring very little of your time.
An exercise routine will yield the biggest benefits. Vigorous exercise
will give you an immediate energy boost and produce ‘endorphines’, which
give you a natural high. Even light exercise can make such a difference.
Swimming or walking are both excellent.
Most people have access to gyms and health clubs. Many clubs have personal
trainers, swimming pools, exercise machines and a host of different
classes from aerobics to yoga. It’s the perfect place to create a regular
exercise plan or routine.
Yoga is virtually a complete exercise and stress relief program all rolled
into one. The stretching postures build flexibility, stamina and boost
your energy. The breathing exercises will also increase your energy and
reduce stress and the meditation, that is an integral part of yoga
practice, is a very powerful relaxation technique.
I have personally used and can recommend a very simple form of yoga that
takes just 15 or 20 minutes a day and gives you a tremendous energy boost.
It's called the
tibetan five rites. It's easy to learn and can be done at home.
A positive lifestyle plan is what you need to boost your energy. There are
many ways to do this. You don’t have force your body through a punishing
routine. You can enjoy exercise. And once you have kicked any addictive
habits, the feel good factor is all you will need to continue.
